Time to put this sleeve to work!

My mother in law had the bypass over 10 years ago and is around a size 14. I
have watched her  eat meals over the years. She makes a hugh plate of food and sits there and
picks at it and looks so sad.  They were over yesterday and she did the same. I
came to the table with my food on a much smaller plate with my size portions,
ate slowly, and enjoyed every bite.  I eat I taste and I get full.....I honestly
dont miss the portions.  Surprising to me. As much as I use to could have put
away!!   I also watch people eat and wonder where they are putting it...isnt
that funny.

Anywooo~  I have not had a BM in 7days.....you really wanted to know that!!
I didnt really lose this week.  AND today I am going to eat better food choices
and  BM producing ones too like beans and spinach or something.  TIME to put
this sleeve to work and get this girl skinny or close to being skinny!!!!

Christmas day thoughts~

Well seems a week has gone by and no weight loss. But with all the holiday foods laying around who could lose?  I have found due to the surgery my stomach is smaller and I am eatting much smaller portions  than everyone else. The problem is I seem to nibble  alot during the day and I know this is the main reason I did not lose this week.
My sleeve is a tool~ Its an awesome tool to have as I plan to start my diet on Monday. I am going to take off 10 lbs at a time with getting to 200 being my first main hurdle by spring. Jan/Feb/March/April I should be able to get pretty close to that goal.
Healthy breakfast and snacks if needed. Salads for lunch or tuna and crackers with meat and veggies for dinner. Gonna try to keep it at 1000 cals.  I can do this and I will do this.

My gastric sleeve journey 2011~

This is my first ever post!  I recently had gastric sleeve surgery on Dec 14th.  I worked most of 2010 with my pcp and the weight management staff to get this far.  My reasons for having the surgery seemed very clear to me. I've been overweight all of my adult life and the surgery seemed the logical thing to do to be able to get the weight off and keep it off.
Surgery went well. Recovery room ~ no nausea.  I was rolled back to my room in good spirits.  I was in the hospital over night and discharged at 3 the next day. While in the hospital I could not get comfy. The bed seemed hard and my butt sore. I was much more comfy at home.  Each day at home I felt better and better and by Saturday was back to normal activities.  Went to a brother sister breakfast and  that night listened to church music.
During week one, while my abdomal muscles were sore, I was on liquids.  and I am now on week two eatting soft and pureed foods. So far I have lost 14lbs.   I have not lost anything in the last few days and find myself beating myself up over this.  I would like to try and only weight once a week.
Constipation is a problem.  Looking forward to being able to eat salads and more beans.
Thats my story so far. This is a new beginning for me.  One I know I can lose the weight and keep it off this time.  My smaller  stomach keeps me from over eatting.  Its a major tool I have been needing to win my battle with obesity.
I am currently at 245. today is Dec 23rd.
